A full moon in Virgo mystically lit by the sun in Pisces graced this weekend's evening skies, pouring its silvery light in the quiet streets. In many lunar traditions, it is called the Snow or Snow-melt Moon, telling us of nature's transition from late winter to early spring.
There's beauty in nature's manifold creations, and more often than never it's hidden in the dark under a coarse skin. When I first came across lotus roots, I knew nothing about this wonderous plant, and minced & shaped into veggie balls, it uncovered non of its secrets. It was only much later that I learned about the symbolism of the whole plant root to blossom.
There's magic in that very moment when you turn around the van's key. Your main belongings – from the heritage shelf to those new hand-blown tea glasses – are stored safely in your back. And in front is the road. A moment of abeyance in between „no more here“ and „not yet there“.
I'm a bit late with my first post in 2021. Yet I hope it is still appropriate and timely to wish you once again a very happy, healing & sparkling new year 💜✨.
So New Year's Eve will be here tomorrow, what a festive moment in time ✨. I chose this rather minimalist frame to raise a glass, and to try and express how many of us might feel about this special turn of the year. Which is maybe a warm light at the end of the tunnel.
While we all hopefully had a safe & happy Holiday, the time „in between years“ is here. Today's blue hour's moon, mystically blurred by veils of mist, inspired me to share a little more about these precious days of transition from one year to the next. And so did your many lovely and thankworthy reactions to my last post about Rauhnächte.
