The Food Blog Awards are back! We entered the contest in two categories and are now nominees in both – Best recipe with Sandwiches deluxe and Best english-language food blog (in German-speaking countries). We didn’t expect that at all and are most happy – thanks a lot to the jury and big congrats to all fellow nominees in all categories (and so many thanks also for the congrats that already reached us in post comments, on our new instagram site and by email). The award weekend will take place in less than two weeks on the first October weekend, and we look forward a lot to meet so many awesome blogger colleagues in Berlin.

There’s a category you couldn’t apply for, and that’s Burda Leserpreis (reader’s choice by publishing house Burda). A board of editors from food magazines Meine Familie und ich, ARD Buffet, and Sweet Dreams preselected 29 blogs, and now readers can vote for their favorite blog. We are on the list as well, which makes us happy, and you can vote for us if you like. But there are also blogs on the list that haven’t been nominated yet in any other category and now have the chance to get a ticket to th Food Blog Award weekend in Berlin and win the Burda Leserpreis by the reader’s votes. If you like to enter the voting which is open until September 25th, you will find it here on Das Kochrezept (explanations and blog presentations for voting are in German language). There’s also a tombola among voters, and the price is an invitation for a food event in Munich.

Kurz & gut

Die Food Blog Awards gehen wieder los! Anders als im letzten Jahr haben wir uns diesmal nicht für das Beste Food Picture beworben, sondern wie schon im Vorjahr in der Kategorie Bestes Rezept, diesmal mit Stullen deluxe, und in der neuen Kategorie Bester englischsprachiger Blog. Nun sind wir in beiden nominiert worden, was wir niemals erwartet hätten. Wir danken der Jury herzlich, freuen uns sehr und gratulieren von Herzen allen Nominierten in allen Kategorien (und bedanken uns sehr für alle Glückwünsche zur Nominierung, die uns in Post-Kommentaren, auf unserer neuen Instagram-Seite und per E-Mail schon erreicht haben). Das gibt in knapp zwei Wochen ein schönes Wiedersehen und Neu-Kennenlernen in Berlin.

Für einen weiteren Preis konnte man sich nicht aktiv bewerben, und das ist der Burda-Leserpreis. Eine Jury aus Redakteuren von Meine Familie und ich, ARD Buffet Magazin und Sweet Dreams hat 29 Blogs vorausgewählt, und hieraus könnt nun ihr bis zum 25. September auswählen, wer euer Lieblings-Blog ist. Auch wir stehen auf dieser Liste (was uns abermals sehr freut), und somit kann man dort auch für unseren Blog stimmen. Aber genauso finden sich darunter Blogs, die noch in keiner der anderen Kategorien nominiert wurden und sich über Stimmen sicherlich besonders freuen würden. Denn der Blog mit den meisten Stimmen ergattert ein Ticket zum Award-Wochenende nach Berlin (und bekommt dort den Burda-Leserpreis verliehen).
